SLAM. - “todo por una chica”.

“ –Where have you been, Sam? – Mark said. Too much friendly. And I said to myself: Oh, here we have it. Uncle Mark.”

The book that I am reading is compleatly different of all the books that I have ever read. It’s writen by Nick Hornby and it’s about the difficult live of a sixteen years-old boy, Sam, that feels in love with a beatiful girl of the same age, Alicia. They were sure that they will be together always. And one sunny day, Alicia remains pregnant. And the worst part is that she wants to have the baby. Sam feels that the decision is in her hands and he doesn’t refuse Alicia’s decision.
But Sam’s live has finished to him. Before, Sam had a simply and a confortable life, but with the baby that is coming he start to loose many things. He was use to skate. The “skateboard” is one of the most important part of his life. The way that the books discribes how much he enjoyes skating and reading his favorite book: Hawk – ocupation: skate board. Is realy good. I haven’t finished it yet, but it’s really exciting and interesting. It isn’t a normal book. The author doesn’t describe everything that happens like: She took my hand and said to me that she loved me. No, nothing like that. The things that happens are told in a very short way. When you meet Sam you feel that he is incredible, I love him, really, his way of beeing and the thinks that he likes. But the best thing of him is the way that he express his feelings.... Is quite good.

“going on the skate during nine minutes and fifty-five seconds isn’t enough, because five seconds are enough make of you a completly desaster. Yes, the live is just like this, it’s true. It isn’t fair for me, but here you have it. “

ITALY.

We got up early in the morning, as any other day of school. But particularly that day, all of us were completely happy. A bus called “Canfaulí” was waiting for us at the main door of Escuela 2. We were going to Italy! It was amazing, fantastic, and wonderful! It was going to be our last travel with our class, 18th promotion, and it was going to be perfect. We all Knew. Because we have been too many years together and we had been waiting to have that trip during all our lives.
The atmosphere of the bus was warm and a bit noisy. All of us were having a good time. Speaking, watching films, listening to music… After three hours of travelling, we arrived to Barcelona, a great city, really. The plan was to get into a taxi at eight o’clock in the evening, but we all had a little problem: The sea wasn’t too good to travel by boat, so we had to wait until half past two in the morning. We didn’t know what to do! Can you imagine it? We were in an unknown city with no activities prepared. But we were with Ana and Rafa, and they took us to a place where we could play villar, little football, and all of that. We spent the nigh together playing in the cyber and when it closed, we started to talk about funny things, and without realized, we were all on the boat, direction to Rome.
The boat was small and there were no places to go among the highest part of the boat that was in the free air, and the dinning room. We spent there one day, exactly 22 hours. Fortunately, the weather was perfect, you know, sunny and hot, so we spent almost seven hours sitting on the highest part of the boat, listening to music, playing cards, and sunbathing. The bedrooms, where a little claustrophobic, but we couldn’t refused nothing.
My heart started to heat faster, and faster, and faster again. We were arriving. Rome was some meters far fromf us. Our suitcases were already done. And there was nothing left, all alright.
At six o’clock in the morning, our feet were touching the Italian ground. And inside of us we were full of emotions. ROME, WE HAD JUST ARRIVED TO ROME!!! It was more than fantastic. Completely perfect. Or… not such as perfect. We had only one hour to sleep. The night before, we didn’t sleep anything. First we were going to arrive at three o’clock in the morning, so, stay such a short time waken, wasn’t very difficult. But then we were on a retard and we were going to arrive at four o’clock… and so on. At least, we arrived at six o’clock.
The Rome’s hotel was four stars, and we had no time to use it. We only had the breakfast, and after sleeping only for one hour we went to visit Rome city. We stay at the Coliseum for a while, The Nabona and more. And when we had dinner we went to visit the “Fontana trevi”. Really amazing. I loved Rome in all the possible ways.
Next day, Venezia. OHHHHHHHHH VENEZIA. I loved it, the saint Marco’s square, all the water streets, the gondolas…
Then, Firenze. We spent at Firenze one day and two nights. First night, we went to a little disco. The music wasn’t very modern, but we all had a great time. At the day, we went to visit Firenze, it was raining and it wasn’t comfortable. The weather was horrible, so we didn’t enjoyed Firenze. And at the night, we went to another disco. “Gilda’s Club”, it was a little strange, with zebra walls and leopard sofas. But the music was better and we like it very much.
The last day we went to Pisa. The smallest city that we saw. But it was nice too. We stayed there for a while and we visited the Pisa’s tower.

I loved the travel; all the places we visited and, I have to say, that I am very happy of the way we got on with each other. There was a big group emotion that we all felt. We spoke with people that we don’t usually speak too much at class, and we discovered new things…
When I was little, sometimes I thought how would be my life in the future, how would be the travel of fourth of ESO and how would I felt at that moment. Nothing is like I though. It isn’t better, It isn’t worse. Simply different, more real. And I have to say that I like these feelings.

ONLINE GAMES.

I have been thinking about what to talk about in this entry, and at the end I arrived in to that conclusion:
What influence make the new technologies in the new generations.

Not many years ago, the children games weren’t as influenced of the techonology as nowadays. The virtual games and the internet of the new generations have made another destiny in the actually lives.
There are people that have made some projects that show the differences between one time and another.
The relation with the education, maybe enfazise that internet take part of with those new experiences (games that enducate and so on...)
Videogames and Internet are providing these new generations with experiences that may arise different consequences.
In this paper we discuss videogames as “socializing elements”, their relations with learning and the differences between learning with them and at school.
Internet provide children with information in great quantities and with different qualities.

Kinds of Online games:

If I had to separate the online games in two groups I would do it like this:
-Violent games. –Educative games.

Violent games.
What I unserstand by saying “violent games”?
Well, I think that most of the online games are violent. The could be with a content or another, but at all I think that they’re violent, because of the ambiane, the objectives and so on. One example of those kind of games is “Satarcraf
t”. Is a science fiction game based in create strategies to have territories conquered. At least, It was a computer game that you might buy in a shop to be able to play. But nowadays is all aronud.

Educative games.
There are less numer of educative games than violent ones. But I think these are better. They improve our mind while we are having a good time. One clear example is “Brain training”. Is a game to train your brain. Because of that, Brain training’s name’s arised. It is an alternative way to spend the time while you are doing somenthing usefull. Brain training game prepare you in every fields: It has maths subjects, to know how old is you brain, to improve you calculation, and so on... Also you can have a good time learning how to speak and pronunciate whatever languages you want. Yo practice grammar and vocabulary. Yo can improve your abilities and become a more inteligent person.

That great game arised as a “Nintendo DS” game. But with the time we have got it! It is in our hands with the only fact of switching on the computer. You can play it everywhere and any time of the day. There are many internet pages that have links with that game to have a great time and with out costing nothing, absolutely FREE!
I’m not used to play games on the internet. But I have played that game for a while to see how it was, and I have enjoyed at all. I think that those kind of games are better than the violent ones because they give you something good and usefull. The other, make you feel violent and makes you be annoyed with every one faster, I mean, violent games makes you feel violent... And you don’t realize of that fact. I think that spend a while playing brain training is something really intersting that all of us should do almost once. Have you tried to play it? I recommed you!

WILLIAM OCKHAM.

William of Ockham was a Franciscan friar and an English scholastic philosopher. As he was a Franciscan, he was dedicated to a life of extreme poverty. He died because of the black pest.

The Ockham razor (theory of the parsimony) is a type of reasoning based on the simplest solutions: “in equality of conditions the simplest solution is probably the correct one”.

The examples are the best way to understand this theory:

If you are near a village and you hear something galloping, it must be horses or zebras, but the most simply thing is that the noise that you have heart is of horses. But, it could be the other option, but it is more difficult to think, to be, or to believe.
Or, if you are walking in a forest, and you see a burned tree, you could have two options: This night have been a storm and a ray have burned the tree, or a terrorist band is burning all the trees they don’t like… You should choose the idea of the ray and the storm because is the simpler one, but it could be the other too…

This rule have had a capital importance in the developed of science.

SCOTLAND.

Scotland is one of the countries that form Britain (England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
Scotland is by the sea of the Atlantic Ocean. The Scottish territory is about 78.772 km2. Its population about 5.116.900 inhabitants, each 65 inhabitants per km2.

NATIONAL SYMBOLS:
The Scottish flag has a white cross on a blue bottom. It became part of the Union Jack’s flag in 1606. There are a lot of symbols, less important than the flag, in Scotland, like the thistle flower (Scottish national flower).

The song “Flower of Scotland” is considering the national hymn, competing with “Scotland the brave”. The Scottish uses each one for different things. The first one is use to be sung in football matches, for politic things, and the second is use to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth games.

POLITIC.
Like Scotland is part of Britain the Scottish chief of state is the British monarch, the queen Elizabeth II. But the Scottish call she “queen Elizabeth” instead of “Elizabeth II” because in Scotland there have never been a queen called “Elizabeth I”.

CLIMATE.
The Scottish climate is really varied. When I went to Scotland, normally it was cloudy in the morning, sometimes it rains in after dinner, and the sun was shinning after. Or the order change, or it rains during all the morning and then the sky is cloudy… really varied.

All this rains have made Scotland a very beautiful country. With green enormous gardens, and a lot of colourful flowers. When I went, that pure green surprised me, it was really, really beautiful.
NEW YEAR'S EVE.

There were dresses on the bed. High hells on the floor. Make up in the bathroom. And also four friends laughing in the hause. We weren’t alredy dressed, but only in a few minutes we would be...

It take us as an hour to be perfect and ready to go out. We were very happy because we were going to have the most fantastic night of our lives...

The problem began when we went out to the street. We were very surprised, the street was complete empty. “What can we do know?” We asked our selves. We started calling some taxi’s telephone numbers. But all the taxis in the city were busy. This was a stupid situation, there were not taxi, our feet were hurting already, and we had a great plan of New Year eve, but with no taxi, we couldn’t go. But suddenly our luck came back. A green light was coming to us.
THERE WAS A TAXI. A WHITE, GREAT, EMPTY TAXI. We started to laugh, to be happy again. We got inside. And our eyes stopped on the taxi’s clock. Only were 5 minutes left to be twelve o’clock. And we hadn’t the twelve grapes yet! “Oh, my got” we said. Can you imagine it? We had been a long time calling some taxi, waiting for some taxi, hopping to see some taxi…. And when we got it, we were going to arrived late. But we were happy. And this was the only thing important in the night.

We started the year still in the taxi, with a simile on our faces and giving to our friends sweet and strong hugs.

We could hear the music outside the Alameda’s ground. A long, red carpet was waiting to us. We gave the entrees to the police man and then we got inside.

I felt the music inside my ears. My feet started to move without control. In my face was the biggest smile. My eyes were looking at the people, dancing, moving enjoying. The music was loud. The place was dark. The people were dressed very elegant, like us. I thought that they were waiting to this night, like me and my friends; Sara, Begoña and Marta.

We met people during the night, we danced and enjoyed at all. I have to say that we had one of the most fantastic nights of our nights.

AMERICAN ELECTIONS.

Nowadays, a big part of the people, are taking care of the american elections, because they're very important, simply because America is the most important politic and powerful country of the world. The decisions are taken at the "white house" and the dicisions can have decisive effects all over the world. The americans make these elections each four years, for make better the thigs that they desagree.

American elections finished not so far, may be, these elections have been the most seen elections for much. Because there have been a very intersesting discuss:

-First of going to the main elections, in America are little one, that are inside the same political match. I mean, for going to be the president the people have to choose the politic they like more. The first "little elections" were between the one that would be the "first women president" or the one that would be the "first black president" in america's history.

In those elections competed: Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton. It was very interseting because they were even. But at the end, Barack Obama got the position and started another election, longer, harder, and more difficult than the other. He competed agaist the old president; John mcCain. I can't imagine all the effort that Obama has given at these elections, but they have been a good way, because, at this moment, Obama is the President of the United States of America.

LAST WEEKEND!

Last weekend I went to Tarragona to make a little trip with some friends. We were: Sara, Marieta, Laura, Ana, Alicia and me. Friday we got into the car to make the long travel, we spent the time listening to music, talking and laughing. We arrived to the hotel “California garden” at the dinner time, so we left the suitcases in our rooms and then we went to have dinner. The hotel was quite good and was too close of port aventura’s park. So next day we went there. Port aventura is a fantastic park it has a lot of attractions and it’s really funny. When we arrived there we got on in a lot of attractions and we made a lot of photos and more things like that. We went at halloween time, so it was more particular than normally. We also went to more cities to visit them, like penyíscola.
I’m very happy of have gone to that trip, because I have really enjoy. And I think that if I am happy and enjoying is the way that I have to choose. So I am happy of the people of the class for having a good time in Más de Noguera. But I don’t regret of haven’t been with them. I have been to a fantastic trip that I will never forget.

The natural beauty of Cullera’s beach.

I love the beach.
Lie on the sand, touching it, feeling it.
Smell the particular scent of the salt mixed with the sea water.
Feel the coolness of the sea breeze against my skin. Close my eyes and enjoy with that sensation.
The sun, big, beautiful and impressive, is radiating heat towards me, and my skin.
The sky, clean, blue, huge… Makes you feel relaxed.
You can fall asleep and have the most beautiful dreams you can ever imagine, because you can hear the waves breaking in the sand, constantly moving and moving, relaxing you at all.
You can get up, slow, very slow… And look at the sand, the sky, the water and the people feeling like you. You can start walking along the sand and see your feet prints taxed on the smooth sand… And arrive to the sea shore, put your feet into the water and feel the coolness of it. You can walk in the water and go inside it…
… Can you feel just like me?

Javea 08'

The first trip that I have done this summer has been Javea.
Last year I went to Scotland with my English academy, Irene and Irene went with me. And the previous four years I went to a Camp in Javea, they came with me too. And this year we came back, but not like students, we came back like monitors.
So, our paper in the camp was helping the teachers at all.
First day, when we arrived to Javea we started preparing the beds and the bed-rooms for the pupils, cleaning them, making beds etc. We were very nervous the next day, because the students were ready to come.
All the mornings we got up at half past eight, we had breakfast at nine o’clock, and then, when the students were at their lessons we made revisions of their bedrooms. If the bedrooms were clean, tidy and with the beds made, they had a green point, if it was the opposite, they had a black point. Then we cleaned the bathrooms, prepare the sandwiches for the break, and corrected some exams. After the break, we helped the teachers teaching the students that were slower than the rest of the group. There were two groups, the group with more level, and the other one, with a low level. Normally we made the reading and comprehension with the first group, and with the other, we teach easy things like verb to be or to have, when they have to use am/are/is, or when they have to use have/has.
When the lessons were finished, the students went to the pool and we did some contests to win green points.
When they finished having lunch, they have a siesta time of two hours, to have a rest and study for their exams.
In the afternoons and evenings we prepared activities like going to the fair, going to the stalls of the beach, going to play to the beach (games like races, the highest mountain, the biggest hold… etc)
All the years the teachers give the students green and red points to win the camp, and if they win, they have a price.
Green points - Speaking English, wining games.
Red points - speaking in Spanish have a bad attitude.

This year we have had the power of giving points, and it has been very exciting.
It has been a very different point of view and I have had a great time I hope I will repeat next year.

WILL – Going to.

We use will for predictions based on our opinion and for decisions taken at the moment of talking.

Structure:
- Affirmative: Subject + will + present simple of the verb chosen.
Example; -what are we going to have for lunch? –I don’t know… Well, I will cook some sausages.
- Negative: Subject + will not (won’t) + present simple of the verb chosen.
Example; - are you going to go to the fair? – Hmmm. I will not, I’m very tired.
- Interrogative: Will + Subject + present simple of the verb chosen.
Example; Will you eat those hamburgers?

We use going to for predictions based on something we can see, hear… And for decisions before hand (Plan actions.)

Structure:
- Affirmative: Subject + am/are/ is + going to + present simple of the verb chosen.
Example; I am going to go to the cinema tomorrow.
- Negative: Subject + am not/aren’t/ isn’t + going to + present simple of the verb chosen.
Example; I am not going to go to the cinema tomorrow.
-Interrogative: am/are/ is + Subject + going to + present simple of the verb chosen + ?
Example; Am I going to the cinema tomorrow?

Education and technology.

The technology is nowadays the future. With a simple computer you can do what ever you want, only with studies and persistence. If new technologies are such enriching… Why not to use them?
I think that if we use them in a moderate way, we can learn and know a lot of new things. But in a moderate way. I mean, I’d like to learn more about technologies but I also want to learn history or maths…
If we use technology in the future will help us, because we will have a base of technologies and it’s a great way to start.

He spent two days sleeping in a logde that were a lot of strangers of France and England that were doing "el camino de santiago", we did a part of it one of the days we were at that lodge. Then we went to Pamplona, we visited the centre and we have free time to do whatever we want. It was very good, because we were to the shops and more.. Wednesday we gather our bags and we put it on the bus, then we went to Jaca and we visited the centre, it was good, but it was raining and we have to leave very soon. In Jaca we saw a shop tha unfortunatly was closed, but Sara had been looking for a shoes that there aren't in Valencia, the we go to Jaca and it were, but the shop was close, oh wath bad luck! When we arrived to the other lodge we found a place that was with games like "futbolín", "billar" and more, we all have a lot of fun ther because we descovered the form to play with out pay. Hahahaha!. Thrusday we do something that we haven't never done before. RAFTING, we went with the boat along the river and we have a lot of fun, for me one of the best things of the trip, but the best of all, of course, was CALDEA! we went to caldea to relax, and we got it!. For two hours, we forgot the school, the exams and the problems and we relax all that we can. A really good experience. It was all really clean and wonderful. I WANT TO RETURN!!

This is England.

We saw the film "this is England" a few months ago. Is a film about the skin heads culture. It tells you the story of a little boy called Shaun that hasn't got any friend. So when he meet a group of people that don't make fun of him he want to be like them, unfortunatly, this group of people are a gang of skinheads. The film tell us the problems that has Shaun when appears Combo, a radical skinhead that deceives to shaun and convices him to be like he.

Personal opinion: Personally, i didn't like this film, is very radical and sad for me, but it isn't bad to know more thigs about skinheads culture... a new experience.

FALLAS.

Fallas are celebrations that are celebrated since the 14th to the 19th of March. The Fallas are the most important celebrations at Valencia. It gives to the city tourism and popularity.

This year I’ve been at the city only 2 days but I’ve enjoyed the Fallas a lot.
First I went to have dinner at the centre with a friend and then we went to visit some of these great monuments. Next day my friend and I went to the centre in order to be with friends, and Sara came with us. The following day I return to my village, so I didn’t see ‘la cremà’. But for the people that have been never gone to the Fallas, I recommend to go, because are fantastic celebrations and it’s a good idea to see them.
